“El mar”, an impressive document on TB treatment in 40’s Sanatoria, reedited!

“El Mar” (the sea) is an impressive novel (in catalan) about the experience of young tuberculous patients in a Sanatorium in Mallorca after the Spanish Civil War. Written by the catalan novelist Blai Bonet (Santanyí 1926-Cala Figuera 1997), it received the “Joanot Martorell” award on 1958.
The novel was re-edited last April by “Club Editor” thus giving us a new oportunity to immerge again into the fabulous world created by Bonet around tuberculosis, a disease that suffered himself when he was 15th years old…
