Promoted by the Health Sciences Department of the Universitat Oberta de Catalunya (Open University of Catalonia, UOC) and Dr. Pere-Joan Cardona and Dr. Vilaplana, from the UTE, the 1st international symposium TB Watch “Can we eradicate TB?” has been organized to be held in Barcelona next september. The one-day Symposium will coincide with the creation of the University’s new specialisation in Clinical TB Management, which will happen with the special collaboration of the prestigious Aurum Institute (SouthAfrica). The idea is for the specialisation and the symposium to generate synergies and complement one another, with the ultimate goal of taking an essentially practical approach to furthering knowledge of TB and improving the way the disease is dealt with at all levels.
International speakers have been engaged for the Symposium (Pr. Andersen, Dr. Hazel Dockrell and Dr. Lange among them) , with the aim to generate discussion on the very newest worries on TB. The one-day symposium will be held on September, 27th.
