UTE’s new paper

Dear all,

As the result of our collaboration with our colleague and friend Dr Sarrias, leader of the Innate Immunity Research group (Germans Trias i Pujol Foundation)- a new manuscript has been issued and accepted to be published. The article entitled “The scavenger protein Apoptosis Inhibitor of Macrophages (AIM) potentiates the antimicrobial response against Mycobacterium tuberculosis by enhancing autophagy” (Sanjurjo et al) will be soon published in PlosOne. The study explores and evaluates the involvement of Apoptosis Inhibitor of Macrophages (AIM), a scavenger protein secreted by tissue macrophages, in the protective immune response against M. tuberculosis. The data obtained support the notion that AIM contributes to key macrophage responses to M. tuberculosis. The Innate Immunity Research Group is continuing this line of research and we are happy to continue to collaborate with them!

Besides, we’d like to announce that our paper on the murine model of active TB based on the Kramnik model is already available here.
